Military Career Summary

I served 20 years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, retiring at the rank of Major after a career that spanned combat deployments, company and battalion-level leadership, joint and interagency assignments, and high-level strategic redesign efforts. Beginning with rigorous initial training and early operational roles in Iraq and Afghanistan—where I led platoons and companies through counterinsurgency operations, combat patrols, and security missions—I progressed to theater-level planning in the Indo-Pacific, advising missions in Saudi Arabia, and enterprise-wide transformation work at Army headquarters.

Throughout, I held Top Secret/SCI clearance for sensitive roles involving coordination with the National Security Council, CIA, NSA, and international partners, while delivering measurable efficiencies—such as multimillion-dollar savings through organizational redesigns and process refinements. These experiences built a foundation of disciplined leadership, strategic foresight, crisis management, and selfless service across diverse, high-stakes environments.

Assigned to the newly formed Transformation and Training Command following the merger of Army Futures Command and TRADOC, I concentrated on developing future organizational designs and mission capabilities for evolving conflicts. I implemented refined reporting procedures and process improvements that generated $1 million in annual savings while maintaining operational readiness. I also researched, considered, and authored a white paper on remissioning nuclear capabilities between the Air Force and Army to optimize future strategic deterrence.

Serving as Theater Army Branch Chief with a primary focus on Homeland Defense, I directed the redesign of the Army’s senior headquarters for the Pacific, Europe, and Army North. My team restructured grade plates, strengthened reach-back capabilities to joint and interagency partners, and realigned missions to better address domestic crisis response and continental defense requirements. This work enhanced the Army’s ability to support civil authorities and maintain readiness against emerging threats on the homeland.

Deployed to Saudi Arabia, I served as a senior advisor, delivering training and operational guidance to partner forces. I collaborated closely with host-nation leaders to enhance tactical capabilities and strengthen bilateral defense cooperation. This role required adaptability and cultural competence to build lasting improvements in partner force proficiency.

Holding Top Secret/SCI clearance throughout this assignment, I supported theater-wide contingency planning and crisis response across the Indo-Pacific, managing highly classified efforts focused on homeland defense requirements and sensitive interagency coordination. I worked directly with the National Security Council, CIA, NSA, and joint partners to develop classified bilateral standards, agreements, and operational frameworks that strengthened alliances and deterrence posture. This role required the utmost integrity and discretion in handling national security information at the highest levels, while deepening my expertise in multinational operations and complex strategic coordination.

Deployed to Afghanistan as a staff officer, I participated in multiple combat patrols while supporting broader mission objectives in high-threat environments. During this period, I later assumed command of a company, overseeing training, operations, and personnel readiness. I subsequently served as Executive Officer of a Military Police Battalion at Fort Bliss, managing large-scale training, administrative functions, and overall formation readiness.

Deployed to Iraq with the 1st Cavalry Division, I commanded an Infantry platoon conducting counterinsurgency operations and partnerships with Iraqi security forces. I later served as a company Executive Officer, providing critical support to unit administration, planning, and operational execution. The tour reinforced foundational principles of small-unit leadership in combat.

My Army career began with Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, followed by Officer Candidate School, commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, and completion of the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course. These rigorous programs instilled the core values of discipline, resilience, tactical proficiency, and selfless service. Upon integration into the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas, I led intensive pre-deployment training cycles involving unit preparation, leader development, and collective training for upcoming combat operations, marking my transition into operational Infantry leadership.
